If you are a pregnant woman or family seeking additional emotional support, information and encouragement during the labour and delivery of your baby, consider a Doula.
A birth Doula is available to the family during pregnancy through to the birth of the child and early postpartum period. The role of the Doula is to "mother the mother". She does not provide clinical care and she in no way interferes with the father or partner's role in the delivery room. Rather, a Doula can enhance the level of support from the partner by encouraging them to participate to their own comfort level.
With a keen interest in natural child birth, breastfeeding and infant care, I would be honoured to assist you in getting off to a healthy start.
